Resolving a Ribbon Miscue on Fargo Printers

Below are the steps to take if you are receiving a "Ribbon Miscue" error, or if your printer is only using one or two panels in a color ribbon. *Note: These steps apply to DTC300/C30/C30E/DTC400/DTC400E printers only.




                        1. Update your printer driver and firmware to the latest listed on Fargo’s Website
                        2. Calibrate the ribbon sensor through the driver and press "Send"

                     
                       3. Install a new ribbon


If the problem persists the printer may have a defective O ring that needs replacing.
