Color Matching

Dye Sublimation printers use 3 colors, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan to create the spectrum of colors whereas a computer monitor uses red, green, and blue.

The results you may see when printing are that your colors don’t match what you see in your software. One example is that blue may be printed out somewhat purple.
There are several ways you can attempt to correct this issue. It may take some time, several adjustments, and test printing to get the results you are looking for.

Evolis Tattoo, Pebble, and Securion Power Supplies

Issues with Evolis printers are quite often caused when the user is not using the correct power supply.

Issues that may arise when not using the correct power supply:
1. All printer warning lights are on
2. The printer goes through the motions, but nothing is printed
3. Data Corruption (odd lines, data printed on the card)
4. Cards coming out too light or too dark
5. Ribbon breaking

When experiencing these issues, please ensure that you are using either the VP Electronique (Usually Older Printers) or Switchbox as pictured below.
